Hello Friend, I have often been asked the inspiration behind my hearts Mission. After being a part of varied salons I found elements of the environment I longed to provide, but never the experience as a whole. I found that I was craving a space to exist unencumbered..... A safe space that reminds you of the comforts of home. A space to come as you are, a place that inspires you, and a space to belong. A Refuge and a Suite Escape from the Chaos of Life... (a Hair by Nicole Hawkins creation). Life is something to celebrate and all are invited! You're invited to a space that is safe and inclusive for all. A space that encourages creativity, community, art, relationship, relaxation and will leave you better than how you were found. Whether in Salon or On Location I look forward to creating a look that will carry you through the seasons ahead or a timeless piece to look back on fondly. As a Tri-Licensed Artist in the industry for 18 years, I completed my training in Las Vegas, and continued my education at 3 salons across Southern California as an assistant. At the same time freelancing as an Up Styling Specialist and now through 19 seasons. Whether it is a new look you are after, or the perfect style for a special occasion I strive to leave you better than how you arrived in both look and feel. Cancellation Policy

My Dearest Guests, You & your appointments are very important at Refuge. I hold your appointments just for you & ask that if you must cancel or reschedule any appointment, you please provide me with 24-hour notice. This way, I will be able to adjust my schedules accordingly and may be able to accommodate clients on my waiting list. I do, of course, understand that unavoidable issues come up and will do my best to work with you in case of an emergency, etc. However, if last minute cancellations or ‘no shows’ become a habit, you will be charged a cancellation fee each time. Here is a general breakdown of cancellation fees: • Less than 24-hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of reserved appointment(s) • ‘NO SHOWS’ will be charged 100% of service amount • Appointments made within a 24-hour period (day of) that need to cancel must do so within 2 hours of said appointment or will be charged 50% of service price. As a courtesy, I do both text and email to confirm the date and time 48 hours prior to your appointment. If I am unable to reach you and only leave a message, or cannot reach you at all, please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times in order to avoid missed appointments and cancellation fees. You are always welcome to call and double check any appointments if you’re unsure. Again, please remember that your appointments are reserved for you & only you. These policies allow me the opportunity to alert my standby clients of any openings allowing me to provide the best service possible.
